As my journey is just beginning, my love for cooking started when I was in middle school. I remember attending a family function and being asked to make Mac & Cheese for Thanksgiving. Now I had never cooked a single thing in my life. I didn't even know if I could cook before I said sure, no problem. When I got home I sat down with my Grandma and asked her to teach me how to make Mac & Cheese and that is when my love for cooking began. The joy I get out of cooking is like a kid opening gifts on Christmas. From that one day, I went on to cooking every Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas breakfast for my family.
I knew cooking was a passion at an early age. I attended Arabia Mountain High School and graduated with a Culinary Arts career path. I went on to attend Johnson & Wales University where I received my degree in Culinary Arts. While attending Johnson & Wales I was invited to participate in the Culinary program for the PGA Masters Tournament held in Augusta, GA. Participating in this program helped me build the confidence I needed to reassure myself that I can do this. I can make people happy through food.
For the last 2 years, I have worked as a line cook in a local Italian restaurant and an Asian cuisine restaurant in Charlotte, NC. Now that I have graduated, I have been working to build my clientele to go beyond family and friends. This is why I have started this page as well as my food Instagram and YouTube page. To invite everyone to get a taste of my world, even if it is just for one meal. Come on in and enjoy the Seasonings of Life
